Why low birth weight is linked to obesity later in life: Study provides explanation

Low birthweight may encourage one to eat more because of fewer  neurons in the region of the brain that controls food intake due to developmental brain problems with stem cells: low birthweight and subequent higher weight is also associated with an increased risk of adult obesity, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension and osteoporosis.
