During its life cycle the protozoan parasite T.Gondii interacts with or modifies the expression of almost 3000 host genes or proteins. The parasite has been implicated in schizophrenia and related disorders and may influence the outcome of many other diseases. The KEGG pathways traced out by this interactome are highly relevant to the pathways disrupted in schizophrenia, depression and bipolar disorder and also to other disorders.
