Midlife Cardiovascular Risk Tied to Early Memory Problems
This large study showed that a number of cardiovascular risk factors affecting blood vessels are tied to risks of cognitive decline as early as 10 years later. There are extensive parallels betwen atherosclerosis, cerebral hypoperfusion and Alzheimer's disease and these risk factors play an important role - possibly as causes acting in synergy, with the genes, not just as risk factors
