....."Larger study cohorts characterized for genetic and environmental risk factors accumulated prospectively are likely to be needed to dissect more fully the etiology of MDD"
A problem with GWA studies is possibly that the important interactions between genes and environment are ironed out by the very large numbers. The bigger the sample size, the less you will find - unless some sort of partitioning is applied.
