Intestinal microbiota promote enteric virus replication and systemic pathogenesis.

Here one microbiome , the bacterial microbiome, influences another:-  in this case the poliovirus and the reovirus, an unrelated enteric virus, whose virulence is affected by antobiotics that destroy the bacteria. Viruses bind to bacterial lipopolysaccharide and  exploit intestinal microbes for replication and transmission.
