New treatment dissolves blood clots in brain tissue

This procedure for clot removal was developed for patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. Using techniques akin to micro GPS, surgeons were able to inject the clotbuster tissue plasminogen activator  (tPA) directly into the relevant area of brain.
