The membrane-spanning 4-domains, subfamily A (MS4A) gene cluster contains a common variant associated with Alzheimer's disease.

This cluster contains a number of immune related genes  and this study homed in on MS4A2 an immunoglobulin E receptor involved in allergy. refs
